I will be exhibiting new work at Making Art Work's latest group exhibition Response.
The exhibition runs from 8-29 November at Maidstone Museum and Bentlif Art Gallery, St Faith's Street, Maidstone, ME14 1LH. Open Mon-Sat 10am - 5pm. Free entry.
Museum of Pocketfluff: 8th November, 1pm - 4pm, Free Entry, all ages welcome
Visitors to the Museum and Response exhibition will be invited to contribute to the Museum of Pocketfluff by donating anything they have in their pockets, rucksacks or handbags. This is likely to be ephemera of little traditional ‘value’, but will have a short tale attached described by the participant. Each donor will receive a ticket of receipt with the website/blog address printed on it, where they can see their exhibit displayed in a museum setting. The exhibits will be on display throughout the duration of the Response exhibition in a glass display case – a mini museum.
Make Your Own Damn Art: 27th November, 6pm – 8pm, Free Entry, Over 12s accompanied by parent/guardian
Make Your Own Damn Art is a feature documentary about artist Bob and Roberta Smith, by John Rogers.
‘The film follows Bob over the course of three years from Leytonstone to Brooklyn, Walsall to Ramsgate. It was first screened in the Summer of 2012 when London was enveloped in the madness of the London Olympics – which is apt as Bob designed a poster for the Paralympic Games.’ John Rogers
A Q&A with the director John Rogers will follow the screening.
